Kaiyuan Bow

The Kaiyuan bow is a marquee member of the Dashao or Large-Ear bow (大稍弓) genre of Ming Dynasty (1368--1644 AD) bow design. Its defining characteristics are its deep brace height, sharply double-bent ears, and flared string notch. This is a smooth and stable design that enjoys hurling medium-heavy arrows (in the 11--12 grains-per-pound range).

Heavy duty material and construction make this bow have excellent durability. This Horsebow is effective to use for ground, hunting, and horseback archery range. Everything is handmade by our master bowyers finished elegantly with goat skin and reinforced the siyahs (tips) with horn, also has rayskin on the arrow pass.
